Dear 2k12 TMNT fans,
I get it. Okay? You love the show and you want to express that you love the show. We all do it. Its what every fanartist and fanfiction writer does with their time, myself included.
But posting up a bunch of screencaps from the latest episode that were taken of your TV screen doesnt qualify as art and shouldnt be posted here. The ONLY exception I'd make to this is if they're supposed to serve some sort of purpose, because screencaps honestly do have their place in the art world. Like lets say a person cropped a bunch of screencaps they took of 2k12!Splinter and made them into one big collage that gets all the useful angles, profiles, details, and perspectives of him that can serve as a decent reference for art (and are good quality-). Now does this qualify as "art"? Not necessarily, but neither do drawing tutorials and they're welcomed with open arms on DA because people can benefit from them artistically.
But taking pictures of your TV screen that arent even good quality, slapping a title on it, and then posting it when it clearly serves no actual purpose is just lazy and has no business being on this site. I have nothing against taking screencaps and posting them for reference purposes (with proper credit given of course), but if you're just posting them for the sake of posting them in place of actual art, maybe you'd be better off going to photobucket.
